Anyone who makes a living from software development visits Developer Week (DWX), one of the largest independent developer conferences in Europe. The Java Forum Stuttgart (JFS) is an annual, one-day conference with Java as the guiding theme. The JFS is designed primarily for developers, but is equally conducive to visitors’ decision-making skills. The forum offers the participants the possibility to inform themselves comprehensively about topics concerning Java and the Java and JVM environment. The breadth is achieved through basic presentations, field reports and information about specific products. Products will be presented both in the form of lectures and as demonstrations at the exhibition booths.

gamescom represents the central platform for the European computer and video games industry and is the world’s largest trade fair for interactive entertainment. It brings together industry, trade and the media and provides an ideal setting for building and maintaining business relationships. The spatial division into entertainment and business area stands for a concept that integrates and appeals to trade and private visitors alike.
Even though it is not a pure IT fair, we decided to include it in our overview because Gamescome is one of the attractions among the fairs.
